Job summary

Columbia Sportswear Company in Orlando is seeking a Co-Manager to plan and direct the day-to-day store operations under the Store Manager. This role executes strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, increase profitability, and implement marketing and promotional directives to grow our customer base.

You will lead by example, coach associates, identify hiring needs, conduct interviews, train new staff, and maintain inventory levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of functional experience.
  • No formal management experience required, however has experience in leading projects and people.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; ability to resolve technical, operational and organizational problems and drive decisions that impact finances, efficiency and effectiveness of the store.
  • Skill operating a Point of Sales (POS) system, and various software packages.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership, direction and coaching to the other leadership and associate staff.
  • Identify and create plans to enhance employee productivity and performance (e.g., track employee results and make suggestions for modifying goals accordingly)
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills by assisting customers regarding products, features, benefits, availability, and resolving escalated complaints.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels through effective replenishment, organization, shrink control, and communication.
  • Identify store hiring needs and conduct interviewing, hiring, and training for store staff, conduct and plan employee training, development, and coaching.
  • Motivate, educate, guide, and develop associates to meet long-range growth plans/career paths within the store, field, and general office.
  • Assist the store leadership team on other responsibilities as needed.

As a Co-Manager, you will be a leader who plans and directs the day-to-day operations of the store, primarily guided by the Store Manager. This role executes strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, increase profitability, and implement marketing and promotional directives to increase sales and grow our existing customer base.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DRIVING HIGH STORE STANDARDS AND CONDITIONS WHILE FOSTERING A POSITIVE TEAM ENVIRONMENT, DEVELOPING ASSOCIATES OF ALL LEVELS TO PREPARE THEM BEST TO SUCCESSFULLY OBTAIN THEIR CAREER GOALS.
