Job summary

MARS Early Learning Academy in Seattle, WA is seeking a qualified Lead Preschool Teacher with an Initial ECE Certificate to join our growing team. The role focuses on coordinating curriculum and guiding a teaching team to provide a safe, stimulating environment for children.

You will work closely with staff and parents, plan developmentally appropriate activities, assess children's progress, and model best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Initial ECE Certificate required or in process.
• Three years of related experience or relevant coursework.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of curriculum and training design for individuals and groups.
• Knowledge of human behavior and performance, learning and motivation.
• Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement curriculum with developmentally appropriate practices.
• Lead activities to promote physical, mental, and social development.
• Model and coach teaching staff to support team success.
• Gain experience with creative curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold assessment tools.
• Plan age-appropriate activities to engage children and foster growth.
• Observe and document children’s progress and behaviors.
• Attend to children's basic needs and supervise safety.
• Prepare materials and classrooms for activities and ensure organization.
