Summary

Preschool in the Village is seeking an experienced Teacher to join us for the new school year! This position is Monday-Friday, 7:30am to noon.

PIV is a non-profit early learning center offering morning preschool programs, toddler playgroups, and speech language therapy September-June. PIV has supported young children and their families since 1996.

Duties

This Teacher shares responsibilities with a Co-Lead Teacher to engage a class of 4-year-olds in play-based activities that support emerging skills. They foster social/emotional development through the use of positive guidance. This teaching team collaborates on curriculum planning and preparation, classroom management, developmental assessments, and professional communication with parents.

Requirements

o Must be a high school graduate and at least 18 years old

o Must have a minimum of 18 credits in early childhood or elementary education or other field of studyfocused on children.

o Must have a minimum of 2 years experience leading a preschool-aged or kindergarten classroom, after school program, or summer camp.

o Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
