Old Sturbridge Academy Charter Public School & Worcester Cultural Academy Charter Public School Worcester Cultural Academy Charter Public School Worcester, Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Assistant Head of School to serve as the Head of School's second-in-command.

This leadership role blends classroom instructional dialogue with restorative practices, and requires a visible, trusted presence for students, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in Education or School Leadership.
• Massachusetts DESE license eligibility as Assistant Principal or Principal.
• Experience in classroom teaching and school leadership.
• Strong knowledge of restorative practices and use with students, families, and staff.
• Ability to engage teachers in substantive conversations about their craft.
• Experience working with diverse communities and families.

Responsibilities

• Serve as genuine thought partner and co-leader to the Head of School for culture, operations, and academics.
• Step into the Head of School role confidently when needed.
• Contribute to school-wide strategic planning and continuous improvement.
• Build a culture that supports every student and adult and fosters belonging.
• Lead staff hiring, onboarding, and team development.
• Support school-wide systems to help staff and students thrive.
• Oversee instructional leadership and teacher evaluation as role evolves.
• Use data (iReady, MCAS, progress monitoring) to inform decisions.
