Qualifications

• Understanding of and appreciation for the joys and compelling qualities of an all-boys boarding and day school.
• Deep knowledge of current best practices and innovation in curriculum, pedagogy, and student life and their intersection in a residential school.
• Efficacy and experience managing and supporting other adults to make full use of their talents and skills.
• Significant experience recruiting, hiring, managing, and developing faculty and staff to support the school’s mission.
• The skill to articulate vision and strategy, paired with the operational expertise necessary for successful implementation.
• Commitment to building exceptional programs across the curriculum and co-curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the student-facing internal operations of the school, including academics, student life, residential life, and athletics.
• Collaborate with the Head of School and senior administrators to implement short-, medium-, and long-term planning and strategic initiatives.
• Lead and develop administrators across academics, student life, and athletics; maximize team effectiveness.
• Support leadership development of current and aspiring leaders and foster professional connections for excellence and retention.
• Recruit, hire, and develop faculty in partnership with the Dean of Academics and Head of School.
• Ensure smooth operation by addressing parent, faculty, and student concerns and maintaining open communication.
• Maintain a strong presence across all school activities, informing the Head of School of programs, challenges, and opportunities.
