Job summary

The UCLA Center for Community Schooling seeks a Researcher/Co‑Director to provide scholarly leadership for community schooling research, equity, and school transformation. The role leads a program of research, mentors students, and develops externally funded projects with substantial scholarly output.

Together with the Faculty Co‑Director, you will guide interdisciplinary, community‑engaged research partnerships, coordinate research personnel, and advance the Center's mission to achieve

Qualifications

• Doctorate or equivalent in a related field is required.
• Strong ability to design and execute research studies.
• Proven track record in leading partnerships between research and practice.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Center's research portfolio across qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods.
• Lead the development of research products, reports, policy briefs, and scholarly publications.
• Coordinate research personnel and sponsored research partnerships.
• Translate findings for educators, policymakers, and communities.
• Develop externally funded research and disseminate findings to diverse audiences.
• Foster collaborations with school districts, state agencies, and national organizations.
