Job summary

Primrose School of Austin at Mueller is seeking a Co-Chef to join our kitchen team and support the preparation of nutritious meals for young learners. You’ll collaborate with another chef to plan menus, ensure safety, and maintain accurate inventory while upholding our health standards.

You’ll play a key role in delivering meals that fuel growth and curiosity, with focus on allergies, portioning, and food safety in a busy school environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food preparation and kitchen management.
• Strong inventory management and organizational skills.
• Experience running food service or catering operations.
• Comfortable collaborating within a shared kitchen leadership team.
• Solid knowledge of dietary requirements and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Partnering with your fellow chef to plan and prepare healthy, appealing meals
• Maintaining careful awareness of children's allergies and dietary restrictions
• Following the daily menu developed in collaboration with the Director
• Assisting with food ordering, portioning, and inventory management
