Co-CEO, Capital & Operations | Early-Stage Leadership Role in a High-Growth Startup (Equity-Based)

Location

Remote (U.S.-based preferred)

Founder is based in Dallas, TX. Occasional travel may be requested for investor meetings or strategic events.

About the Venture

A bold, category-defining platform is in development—designed to reshape how innovation, value, and capital move in today’s world. The vision, brand, and roadmap are already established by the founder. What’s needed now is a strategic executor who can build the operational engine, lead capital efforts, and help scale the company from the ground up.

This is not a typical leadership role. It’s a rare opportunity to partner at the earliest stage of something with long-term, global potential.

The Role: Co-CEO (Capital & Operations)

As Co-CEO (Capital & Operations), you’ll work directly with the founder, who is leading product vision, innovation strategy, and long-term direction. Your focus will be execution, fundraising, and internal infrastructure.

You’ll take point on operations and capital strategy while collaborating with the founder to translate the broader vision into measurable momentum.

This is not a co-founder title. The company is founder-led and will remain so. You’ll be stepping in to lead a specific domain with autonomy, upside, and full transparency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising strategy, investor outreach, and capital closing (Seed, Series A)

• Build operational infrastructure to support product development and early-stage growth

• Oversee financial modeling, performance tracking, and business strategy

• Represent the company in investor meetings, pitch forums, and strategic events

• Assist in early-stage hiring, partnership development, and workflow design

• Collaborate closely with the founder to align execution with vision

Ideal Background

  • Experience as a CEO, COO, or senior operator in a startup or venture-backed company

• Proven track record raising capital or leading investor engagement

• Deep operational knowledge, financial strategy, and systems building

• Executive-level communication skills and business acumen

• Self-starter with high risk tolerance and exceptional follow-through

• Equity-first mindset; open to deferred salary until capital is raised

• Passionate about systemic innovation, economic redesign, or platform-based thinking

Who This Is For

This role is for someone who thrives in early-stage environments and wants to lead without needing to be “the founder.” You might be:

• A former operator or startup executive ready to take on a bigger stake and more authority

• A VC, angel, or capital strategist looking to move from investing into building

Equity and Performance-Based Compensation

Initial Equity:

2–4%, with 4-year vesting and 1-year cliff

Performance-Based Upside (capped at 10% total equity):

• +0.5% equity upon closing a Seed round

• +1.0% equity upon closing a Series A ($2M+)

• +1.0% equity for meeting core operational milestones

Capital-Based Compensation:

Eligible for up to 15% of a founder-designated compensation pool based on raised capital

This is not a salaried position at the outset. It’s an equity-based leadership opportunity designed for someone who wants to build long-term value, not earn short-term wages.
