Job Summary:

The Home Care Aide (HCA) provides clients with personal care and homemaker/companion services according to an established plan of care, enabling them to remain in their residence.

Essential Functions:

• Personal Care: Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, nail/skin care, back care, foot care, shampooing, oral hygiene, ambulation, transfers, range of motion exercises, safe use of equipment and assistive devices (wheelchair, walker, crutches, cane), changing positions, toileting, commode, incontinence care, meal planning, preparation, and feeding assistance.
• Companion/Sitter/Household Management: Providing companionship and respite services, performing homemaking activities such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, laundry, and bathroom cleaning.
• Medication Services: Assisting with medications that the client self-administers.
