BJC Healthcare is seeking a Perioperative RN First Assistant (RNFA) at Alton Memorial Hospital in Illinois. The PRN role covers 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with 45 minutes of call time, five days a week on an OR team dedicated to patient safety and high-quality surgical care.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree.
• Experience: 2–5 years in perioperative setting.
• Licenses & Certifications: RN license.
• CNOR certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers intraoperative patient care as the first assistant to the surgeon.
• Analyzes the assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses and communicates outcomes.
• Functions as a surgical team member to support perioperative care.
• Monitors patient response and adjusts plan of care as needed.
• Develops and manages an individualized RNFA care plan.
• Advocates for perioperative safety and professional practice.
