Job summary

Britt Medical Search seeks a Certified Nurse-Midwife to join our OB/GYN practice in Shiloh, Illinois, providing full-scope midwifery across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care within a collaborative team. The role includes Centering Group Prenatal Care to optimize outcomes for mothers and babies.

The position requires CNM, RN license, AMCB certification, and preferred Illinois license with 2+ years in CNM or labor and delivery.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in nursing with midwifery specialization.
• Active RN license.
• CNM certification from AMCB.
• Illinois license, DEA, and CDS preferred.
• 2+ years CNM or L&D nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope CNM services including antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care, as well as well-woman care and family planning according to protocols and collaborating physician.
• Maintain a productivity level to reach mandated annual client encounters.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams and contribute toward annual health care action plans.
• Perform history and physical exams on new and returning clients.
• Manage acute and chronic illnesses in collaboration with physicians.
• Refer patients to follow-up health care providers or community agencies as necessary.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., ultrasounds, blood tests).
• Provide emotional support and guidance during labor and pregnancy.
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and identify high-risk pregnancies.
• Monitor and administer medications during labor and provide postpartum care.
• Assist parents in coping with miscarriage, termination, stillbirth and neonatal death.
• Maintain up-to-date medical records for all patients.
• Maintain active hospital delivery privileges as requested.

Education

Master's degree or higher in nursing with a specialization in midwifery

Active RN license

CNM certification by AMCB

Illinois license, DEA, and CDS (preferred)

2+ years of CNM or L&D nursing experience (preferred)
