Job summary

Children's National Hospital is seeking a Development Coordinator to support fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, and event activities at our Silver Spring location. You will assist with donor meetings, tours, proposals, and stewardship activities, enabling strong relationships with donors and prospects.

Responsibilities include planning campaigns, managing donor data, and preparing presentations under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field required.
• Minimum 2 years related fundraising experience required.
• Must be goal oriented with strong organizational, communications, and interpersonal skills.
• Evenings and weekends availability for events; stamina and flexibility required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of prospects and donors.
• Participate in in-person/virtual donor visits under management guidance.
• Host tours for prospective donors to showcase the case for support.
• Manage post-meeting donor stewardship and data clean-up in the database.
• Draft strategic fundraising materials, briefings and presentations.
• Coordinate sections of large projects or entire small projects; provide writing/editing for proposals and reports.

Responsible for planning, coordinating and executing fundraising campaigns, events, donor meetings and donor deliverables. Supports general team operations including assisting with donor tours, donor engagement events, donor communications and other activities.Knowledgeable about funding priorities and able to lead presentations and conversations with donors and prospects. Manages project for deliverables related to donor engagement.
