Job summary

R L Industries Inc is seeking a skilled CNC Waterjet Operator in Fairfield, OH to set up, program, operate, inspect, and maintain Flow-based waterjet systems in a custom manufacturing environment. You will support one-off and repeat production for chemical, semiconductor, and defense industries.

The role requires strong math, reading drawings, and safety mindset, with emphasis on quality and accurate documentation. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with CNC waterjet, laser, plasma, router, or similar fabrication equipment preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and perform basic dimensional calculations.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a Flow 5-axis abrasive waterjet cutting system, including loading, alignment, fixturing, and unloading.
• Program and prepare cut files using FlowXpert Infinity and FlowPath for 2D and 3D cutting.
• Review job travelers, drawings, DXF files and specifications before cutting.
• Select and verify cut parameters, abrasive flow, tooling, nozzles, offsets and machine settings.
• Nest parts to maximize material use and production efficiency.
• Monitor cutting performance and adjust parameters to maintain dimensions and quality.
• Inspect finished parts with tape measures, calipers and gauges and report nonconformities.
• Complete production, inspection, material, scrap and machine-maintenance documentation.
• Perform routine machine checks and preventive maintenance.
