Job summary

CCT Enterprises is seeking a CNC VMC Setup Technician to join the night shift. You will perform complete setups on established CNC milling jobs, verify first-piece quality, and adjust tooling and offsets as needed to meet exact specifications.

In this role you’ll read blueprints, load fixtures, run first articles, and make minor program edits while maintaining efficiency and minimizing downtime. A safety-conscious, detail-oriented teammate is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of CNC mill setup experience and ability to run complete setups independently.
• Blueprint literacy and use of precision measuring equipment required.
• Solid knowledge of tooling, work/fixture offsets, and speeds & feeds.
• Ability to perform minor program edits; strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently complete setups on CNC milling jobs and verify first-piece quality.
• Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, job travelers, and work instructions.
• Install/adjust vises, fixtures, tooling, holders, probes, and workholding; set tool lengths and offsets.

• Maintain production efficiency while minimizing scrap and downtime; report delays to supervision.

CNC VMC Setup Technician (Precision Machining)Four 10-hour days. Three-day weekends. 2nd Shift at CCT Enterprises.A Day in This RoleYou arrive for second shift, review the job traveler, and head straight to a vertical machining center. You mount fixtures and vises, load holders and probes, dial in work and fixture offsets, and set tool lengths. You run a first piece, verify specs, make a minor program tweak if needed, and then turn production loose—keeping the cell efficient while scrap and downtime stay low.
