Job summary

Methode Electronics, Inc. is seeking a dedicated CNC turret punch press operator in Rolling Meadows, IL. The role focuses on set-up, operation, and light maintenance of turret punch equipment to manufacture sheet metal parts from flat stock.

Responsibilities include first-time setups for new products, programming and profiling, and ensuring production targets and quality standards are met. Strong blueprint reading and English communication are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2+ years of experience setting up and operating machines.
• Ability to read blueprints or drawings.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC turret punch press equipment to fabricate sheet metal components.
• Perform first time set-up for new products through programming, profiling, and adjustments.
• Operate equipment to meet production and quality goals; make minor adjustments as needed.
• Perform manual production operations such as loading/unloading sheet metal stock and deburring parts.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to inspect output and verify specs.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance per manuals and work instructions.
• Maintain neat, safe work areas and comply with safety rules.
• Forklift experience desired or ability to obtain certification.
• Other duties as assigned.
