Shape precision from raw stock — join us as a CNC Turning Programmer/Setter

Step into a fast-paced shop where your skill at the lathe turns complex prints into flawless metal components. You’ll run both CNC lathes and manual machines, programming and setting up from drawings and written instructions to deliver to-spec parts, every time. Safety, accuracy, and speed are the pillars of the role—along with a collaborative spirit that elevates the entire team.

A day in the life

• Kick off with a print review and job plan; select tooling, set workholding, and program the CNC lathe from print requirements and written instructions.
• Prove out programs, dialing in offsets to hold tight tolerances across a range of materials.
• Run parts on CNC and manual machines; verify critical dimensions using micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision metrology tools.
• Document results with care and accuracy; capture data that supports quality, traceability, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with teammates—share insights, maintain workflow, and keep productivity, cooperation, and attitude at the forefront.

What you bring

• Hands-on programming and setup of CNC machines from prints and written instructions.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications and translate them into efficient setups.
• Proven track record holding tight tolerances in metal turning.
• Experience machining a variety of materials.
• Proficiency with precision measurement: micrometers, bore gauges, and more.
• Strong documentation habits with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Team-oriented mindset—productivity, cooperation, data collection, and positive attitude.
• Machining: 4 years (Required).
• Bonus: familiarity with Mazatrol/Mazitrol and G-code.
