Job summary

NTN Bearing of America in Columbus, IN is seeking an East - Turning Machine Operator for the 3rd shift. You will operate CNC lathes and related equipment, load parts, inspect outputs, adjust offsets, and change tooling to maintain quality.

This role requires a high school diploma and at least six months of CNC experience, plus the ability to read drawings and work with Okuma or FANUC controls in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months CNC lathe/machining center experience.
• Ability to read part drawings and make offset/tooling decisions.
• Experience with Okuma or FANUC equipment preferred.
• Proficient with calipers, indicators, gauges.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathe/turning and grinding equipment to produce metal components.
• Maintain oil/coolant levels and keep job area clean.
• Inspect parts and confirm conformance to drawings before exit.
• Train new operators after job-specific training.
• Perform light preventive maintenance as needed.
