Jonaco Machine, LLC in Chaska, MN is seeking experienced Turning Machinists to join a high‑performance aerospace environment. Set up and run complex CNC turning centers with minimal supervision, interpreting blueprints and GD&T to produce tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC Turning experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced knowledge of CNC lathe setup, operation, and programming.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
• Proficiency with measuring tools and inspection techniques.
• Experience editing G-code and CAM software.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Turning centers (lathes) with minimal supervision
• Interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings
• Select tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters for optimal efficiency and quality
• Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments
• Edit and optimize CNC programs (G-code or CAM-generated) to improve cycle times and tool life
• Troubleshoot machining issues, including tool wear, chatter, and dimensional inaccuracies
• Maintain tight tolerances and ensure parts meet customer and quality standards
• Train and mentor Level 1 and Level 2 machinists as needed
• Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure equipment is in safe working condition
• Document production data and maintain accurate records

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Turning centers (lathes) with minimal supervision

• Maintain tight tolerances and ensure parts meet customer and quality standards


• Train and mentor Level 1 and Level 2 machinists as needed

Required:

• 5+ years of CNC Turning experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred:

• Experience with multi-axis or live-tooling lathes


• Familiarity with controls such as Fanuc, Haas, or Okuma


• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience


• Technical certification in machining or related field
