Job summary

Enjet Aero, LLC is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist in Manchester, CT to set up and operate multi-axis milling and turning machines. You will read blueprints, interpret operation sheets, and produce high-precision aerospace components with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, program, and operate vertical/horizontal milling and turning machines.
  • Align fixtures, tools, attachments, and materials on the machine.
  • Maintain clean work areas and equipment.
  • Use hand tools and precision instruments for inspection as required.
  • Cross-train in other areas of the facility as directed.

Position Description:

The CNC Machinist performs detailed machine setups, has G & M code knowledge, and is able to run parts with little to no supervision.

  • Efficiently set up, maintain and operate vertical and horizontal multi-axis milling and turning machines to produce high quality precision aerospace components without supervision.
  • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machine.
  • Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Use manual inspection equipment as required, e.g. height stands, micrometers, indicators, dial bores, verniers, etc.
  • Able to read and interpret operation sheets and blueprints
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisor, and other staff
  • Other duties as directed by the supervisor including but not limited to cross training in other areas of the facility.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary CNC education preferred
  • 3-5 years of CNC machine operation
  • Okuma control knowledge a plus
  • Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity
  • Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Interested in learning with, and from, engineering and programming team to improve operations
