MANCHESTER, CT-based aerospace manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist for 1st and 2nd shifts. The role focuses on setting up and operating CNC lathes to produce high-precision aerospace components and requires reading engineering drawings to ensure tolerances are met.

We have a live opportunity for an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join a leading aerospace manufacturing company based in Manchester, CT. Opportunities are available across both first and second shifts.

Due to continued growth, our client is actively seeking motivated and experienced CNC Lathe Machinists to join their established manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes to manufacture high-quality, precision-engineered components for the aerospace industry. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business working with advanced machining equipment and tight-tolerance components.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision aerospace components.
• Load and unload components, select appropriate tooling and make necessary machine adjustments.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure components meet specifications.
• Perform tooling changes, tool offsets and machine adjustments as required.

Experience Required

• Previous experience setting up and operating CNC lathes.
• Strong understanding of CNC turning operations and machining processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with tooling changes, offsets and machine adjustments.
• Knowledge of precision measuring equipment, including micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to work to tight tolerances and maintain high-quality standards.
• Aerospace or precision manufacturing experience highly desirable.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
