Job Description SummaryThe candidate must set up and run 3 axis CNC equipment along with other toolroom equipment as needed. They will also be responsible for prepping tooling and raw materials for the CNC, as well as machine maintenance, coolant changes and deburring parts, etc. The candidate must be willing to perform other tasks as requested by the Supervisor and Lead. They must also be focused as a team member working in a team environment to achieve business needs.

Responsible for manufacturing components by programming, assembling, and operating automated machines (i.e., CNC Lathe, Milling Machine). Will also be responsible for inspecting parts per blueprints and making minor adjustments to equipment to ensure quality standards are achieved. Additionally, this role will support production activities in other areas as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Programming of CNC machines using Mastercam software.

  • Operating CNC machines to perform complex functions such as boring, milling, drilling, etc.

  • Inspecting work produced to ensure it meets specifications.

  • Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments to improve efficiency and minimize downtime.

  • Maintaining records of production runs, including time, materials used, and product specifications.

  • Assisting other departments with their operations when necessary.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of GD&T principles.

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.

  • Experience in machining processes and techniques.

  • Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.

  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks or Inventor.

  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Basic understanding of shop safety practices.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Available to work overtime as needed.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma/GED preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in machining and working with CNC machines, required.
