Job summary

HOERBIGER is seeking a Manufacturing Tool Attendant for a 2nd shift to manage and track production tools, ensuring availability, maintenance, and accurate inventory records. You will support safety and quality standards while coordinating with tooling specialists and engineering.

The role requires at least 5 years of tooling experience in metal-cutting environments, with CNC and manual operations, and proficiency with SAP and Excel. Training in 5S and continuous improvement is expected.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment, tooling for metal cutting with CNC/manual turning, milling, grinding, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

Inventory management: issue/receive/track tools, gauges, fixtures, and equipment to production personnel; restock consumables; maintain tool inventory records in SAP and Zoller TMS.
Tool optimization and maintenance: inspect tools for wear or defects; clean and store tools; perform insert sharpening/grinding; install cutting tools at CNC machines; assist preventive maintenance.
5S initiatives: follow safety/quality/housekeeping standards; support continuous improvement in tool control and efficiency; maintain a clean, organized, safe work environment.
