Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace is hiring a CNC Technician I at the Savannah (GAC) facility. The role involves setting up and operating automated CNC machines to fabricate parts, with emphasis on learning and growing within our aviation manufacturing environment.

Entry-level candidates with a high school diploma or GED are welcome; CNC experience is preferred. Reading, writing, and speaking English are required, along with adherence to safety and 5S standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate automated machines to fabricate parts.

  • Inspect material and parts for conformity per blueprints/documents.
  • Maintain clean, safe work environment and adhere to 5S and safety standards.

CNC Technician I in GAC Savannah

Education And Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. Entry level position. Experience in automated machine environment/CNC preferred.

Position Purpose

Set up and operate automated machines to fabricate parts, applying knowledge of shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, maintainability materials and layout techniques.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions:

  • Under supervision, operate automated machine using existing programs.
  • Remove/replace cutting tools and offsets as required. Inspect condition of tools and replace as needed.
  • Inspect cut material/part prior to CNC operation to ensure conformity and compliance with blueprints, models, and/or engineering documents.
  • Identify material and appropriate cutting tools. Set up material and inspect for serviceability.

Additional Functions:

  • Monitor material supply. .
  • Validate preventative maintenance and minor repairs on machines. Alert maintenance of any repair/preventative issues. .
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment .
  • Comply with 5S and Environmental, Health and Safety requirements. .

Perform other duties as assigned.

This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
