Swiss Set Up CNC Machinist

Full-time / Permanent

Hourly

$5,000 Sign-on Bonus!!

2nd Shift (Flexible Schedule)

Summary

This position is responsible for the daily setup and operation of their assigned machines.

Responsibilities

1. Measure work-piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
2. Observe machine operation to detect work-piece defects or machine malfunctions.
3. Use hand and power tools as required.
4. Inspect previous work, as well as your own, to ensure quality standards.
5. Remove burrs etc. for work piece.
6. Perform basic housekeeping of machine and area.
7. Meet a 95% or better production requirement.
8. Follow ISO 2000/ISO 13485 standards; promote and adhere to ISO procedures and continuous improvement.
9. Create and set-up jobs per specifications (new fixtures).
10. Perform first-piece inspections and submit to QC.
11. Read and interpret mechanical blueprints.
12. Perform minor maintenance on machines.
13. Change program or offsets to obtain final dimensions.
14. Continuously improve processes for effective production.
15. Document in-process activities.

Requirements

1. 2+ Years of experience working on Citizen CNC Swiss Machines.
2. Knowledge of setup, machine speeds, and feeds for materials and tooling.
3. Ability to read, write, and edit G&M Codes.
4. Interpret drawing requirements, including GD&T.
5. Ability to work independently and in a team.
6. Familiarity with ISO standards.
7. Adherence to safety procedures and regulations.
8. HS Diploma or equivalent.
9. Two-year certificate in machine trades.
