JOB SUMMARY
Prince Industries is seeking a CNC Machinist for our Swiss Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate production machinery according to print specifications.
- Perform tasks using established guidelines with limited judgment.
- Inspect production parts visually and dimensionally for defects; report issues to supervisor.
- Verify workpiece conformance using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and go-no-go gauges.
- Apply statistical process control techniques.
- Follow instructions and preestablished guidelines to perform job functions.
- Read blueprints for dimensions and tolerances (e.g., GD&T).
- Interpret the Job Traveler for information such as workpiece count, job rate, and sequence of operations.
- Adhere to Prince Industries' quality certifications (e.g., ISO, QS).
- Perform machine operation duties independently, including:
- Machine startup
- Tooling adjustments to maintain sizes
- Replacing broken or worn tooling
- Identifying unsafe conditions or malfunctioning safety equipment
- Conducting daily preventative maintenance (coolant levels, filters, cleaning, etc.)
Secure tooling and instruments as per documentation (Doc: PQ01F03).Complete related paperwork such as tags, inspection documents, and production logs.Maintain a clean work area, including cleaning spills and grease spots.Maintain quality and protection of finished products, including packing and rust prevention.Identify tooling needs for safe and efficient operation.Use basic inspection equipment proficiently (height gauge, optical comparators).Perform simple machine setups or adjustments as needed.Transport finished materials to designated areas.Maintain production rates and report discrepancies.Monitor machine operation for malfunctions.Position and secure workpieces properly.Maintain good housekeeping.Work under direct supervision.Follow all safety procedures, including PPE and machine safety protocols.Perform additional duties as assigned, including department transfers if necessary.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to interpret safety rules, instructions, and manuals.
- Effective communication skills with supervisors and co-workers.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Intermediate math skills, including fractions, percentages, etc.
- Basic computer skills for inquiries and data entry.
- Familiarity with production concepts, practices, and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous CNC machining experience, apprenticeship, or formal training.
- 1-3 years of related CNC operation experience required.
COMPENSATION
Hourly pay ranges from $23 to $28, with additional shift differentials.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Stand and reach for 8-10 hours.
- Communicate effectively, including talking and hearing.
- Perform repetitive work and short cycles.
- Occasionally walk, sit, kneel, crouch, or bend.
- Lift, push, or pull up to 15 pounds regularly; up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Require close vision (20/20 or corrected).
- Work around moving mechanical parts.
- Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, sparks, and hot parts.
- Move hot parts and work with compressed gases.
- Noise levels are loud; hearing protection required.
