Our Swiss machinists play a critical role in manufacturing precision components that make a difference in patients' lives. We specialize in machining medical implants on Star CNC Swiss machines, ensuring the highest quality and precision.

What You'll Do:

  • Independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot Star CNC Swiss machines to produce precision medical implants.
  • Perform machine offsets, tool changes, and adjustments as needed to maintain tight tolerances.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and work instructions to ensure parts meet customer specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators to inspect machined parts.
  • Perform routine maintenance and daily preventative maintenance (P.M.) on machines.
  • Document production activities, including first-piece inspection logs, maintenance records, and work orders.
  • Follow strict quality control procedures, including ID & traceability protocols.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to optimize machining processes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with 5S principles.

What You'll Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification a plus).
  • 1+ years of experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss machines, preferably Star CNC but not required.
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming, and tooling.
  • Ability to interpret and work with GD&T, setup sheets, and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with Epicor ERP system (preferred but not required).
  • Familiarity with machine metrics (preferred but not required).
  • Experience with the line clearance process and documentation procedures in a regulated environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
