Job summary

Our client seeks CNC Swiss Lathe Machinists in Massachusetts with 3+ years of experience. Aerospace experience is preferred. Responsibilities include setting up and operating CNC Star Swiss Lathes, performing inspections, and maintaining tooling and offsets.

G-code editing and interpretation of blueprints are part of the role; candidate should work well independently and in teams in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years setup experience on Swiss lathe machines.
• 2 years Swiss lathe experience required.
• Aerospace experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and customer specs to set up, operate and adjust CNC Star Swiss Lathes.
• Perform inspections of self-machined parts (First Piece & In-Process).
• Inspect produced parts using gauges, calipers and micrometers.
• Change offsets and tools; perform G-code edits and machine preventative maintenance.
• Set up machines to achieve full capabilities.
