Job summary

Qualdoc is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with a solid background in structural steel fabrication. You will operate CNC machinery, read technical drawings, perform quality checks, and use various hand and power tools to produce precise steel components.

You will review blueprints and work orders, adjust machines for accuracy, and document production data in Global Shop. A strong eye for detail and the ability to work independently are essential for success in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Structural steel fabrication experience required.
• Experience operating CNC equipment, especially combo mill/lathe and drill line.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and work orders.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Familiar with Global Shop or similar ERP system.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to quality.
• Good problem-solving and ability to work independently.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC equipment for structural steel production.
• Review blueprints, schematics, and work orders during production.
• Make machine adjustments to maintain dimensions and accuracy.
• Use hand and power tools for machining and assembly.
• Inspect parts to verify they meet design and structural specs.
• Identify equipment problems and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Enter production information and maintain records using Global Shop.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a safe, productive shop environment.
