Job summary

The Toro Company in Minnesota is seeking a CNC Sheet Metal Fabricator for the 3rd shift (11:00 PM–7:00 AM, Sunday–Thursday). You will program nests using CAD/CAM software and supervise laser cutting and CNC press brake operations to produce sheet metal parts.

This hands-on manufacturing role requires 3+ years of sheet metal and press brake experience, basic machining aptitude, and tool-and-die skills. Starting pay is $35.59 per hour with a $3.50 shift differential, plus comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of sheet metal and press brake experience.
• Experience with, or demonstrated aptitude for, basic machining.
• Experience, technical training, or demonstrated skills in tool and die work.

Responsibilities

• Program nest (using CAD or CAM software) and produce all sheet metal parts produced in laser cutting machines.
• Set up and run CNC press brake.
• Experience or demonstrated abilities in basic machining.
• Monitor sheet metal cell workload and ensure that all prototype parts are produced on time according to the schedule.
• Utilize and operate proper material handling equipment.
• Ensure that all parts produced in sheet metal cell meet print and process specifications through in-process parts inspections.
• Responsible for all training given within the sheet metal cell.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on manufacturing role with physical activity ranging from light to demanding tasks.

The position frequently involves handling small components and occasionally lifting materials up to 40 pounds.

Heavier materials may be handled during equipment setup.

Employees work with laser equipment and manufacturing machinery.

Comprehensive safety procedures, training, and protective equipment are provided to ensure a safe work environment.

This role is performed in a machine shop/manufacturing setting and requires adherence to established safety guidelines and best practices while operating equipment and handling materials.
