Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a CNC Set Up for our Oak Ridge client to join the Manufacturing Department. The role emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork, and a proactive attitude, with responsibilities to load and adjust preset CNC programs and operate equipment to produce quality parts.

Ideal candidates have 3 years CNC set up experience, the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, and solid math and CAD/CAM knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Three (3) years of CNC set up experience.
• Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions.
• Intermediate math skills and computer skills.
• Ability to learn and utilize CAD/CAM programs, G and M codes, GD&T, and SPC.

Responsibilities

• Load and make minor adjustments to preset CNC programs to ensure proper machine operation
• Operate CNC manufacturing equipment to produce quality products according to work instructions
• Inspect parts for defects during in-process inspection and record results
• Perform basic machine adjustments such as offsets and setting tapers
• Maintain work area cleanliness and perform routine preventative maintenance
