Job summary

HIWIN Corporation in Huntley, IL, is seeking an experienced CNC Setup Technician & Operator to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. You will set up and operate Haas CNC mills and lathes, read blueprints, and perform in-process inspections to ensure precision and quality.

You will troubleshoot issues, work with Engineering and Quality teams, and support continuous improvement, safety, and manufacturing excellence. A high school diploma and 2+ years of CNC experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of CNC machining experience, including setup and operation.
• Experience machining steel, hardened steel and aluminum.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and GD&T requirements.
• Solid understanding of the metric system, tolerances, and precision measurements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Haas CNC mills and lathes.
• Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and machining instructions.
• Perform in-process inspections with precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling and quality issues to maintain production.

We are seeking an experienced CNC Setup Technician & Operator to join our fast‑paced, diverse, and safety‑centric team. Typical Day

• Setting up and operating Haas CNC mills and lathes
• Reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and machining instructions
• Performing in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments
• Troubleshooting machining, tooling, and quality issues to maintain production efficiency
• Partnering with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to solve production challenges and improve manufacturing processes
• Supporting continuous improvement, safety, and manufacturing excellence

Required Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two or more years of CNC machining experience, including machine setup and operation
• Experience machining steel, hardened steel, aluminum, and related materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements
• Solid understanding of the metric system, including tolerances and precision measurements
