Job summary

Waupaca Foundry is seeking a CNC Setup Operator for the 3rd shift. The role involves setting up, operating, maintaining and troubleshooting CNC machines and related material handling systems. You will conduct quality checks and uphold safety standards, while supporting TPM and tool changes.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 1–2 years CNC experience, and the ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools. Forklift and crane operation may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Machining Associates degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience operating a CNC machine.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and organized workplace.
• Confirm quality of machined components using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Operate high-end CNC equipment and perform routine maintenance checks.
• Set up CNC equipment and perform tool changes as required.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in root cause analysis.
• Read blueprints and understand the metric system.
