Job summary

Hutchinson Industries, Inc. is seeking a CNC Setup Operator to read drawings, set up and run CNC equipment safely and efficiently. You will edit G/M codes, use precision measuring tools, and ensure quality through measurement and documentation.

The role requires lifting up to 70 pounds, working eight hours in a non-air conditioned environment, and providing clear communication with the team while maintaining a safe workspace. This is a full-time on-site position in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Advanced CNC machining skills, including work holding, tooling, setup, fixture and tool offsets and program editing.
• Knowledge of quality control measuring tools is required.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings.
• Good communication skills are required.
• Ability to lift 70 pounds regularly and endure eight-hour shifts in a non‑air conditioned area.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC equipment and operate it safely and efficiently.
• Read drawings/prints for size, tolerance, and finish requirements.
• Edit machine programs using G/M codes when needed.
• Support tool wear adjustments and changeout tooling as required.
• Enter production information into the tracking system and complete setup paperwork.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and communicate with team members.
