Job summary

Barton Staffing Solutions is seeking skilled CNC Machinists with set-up and programming experience for a fast-paced manufacturing team in the western suburbs of Chicago, IL. The role emphasizes producing high-quality components, performing machine setups, tool changes, and program adjustments, while maintaining safety and Lean manufacturing practices.

This full-time position offers 2nd shift hours (2:30pm–11:00pm) with pay ranging from $24 to $38 per hour, plus full benefits and opportunities

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CNC machining or CNC operator experience.
• CNC machine setup experience required.
• Basic CNC programming knowledge.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Ability to interpret production documents and follow procedures.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to produce high-quality components.
• Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and program adjustments.
• Modify machine offsets and troubleshoot production issues as needed.
• Read work instructions and ensure parts meet quality specifications.
• Inspect materials, finished products, and equipment using precision measuring tools.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Assist with training new team members in machine operation, safety procedures, and company standards.
• Support Lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering, Quality, and Production departments to improve manufacturing processes.
• Provide machine coverage during operator breaks when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
