Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent vocational training in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of two years of CNC setup and operation experience in precision manufacturing.
• Proficient in CNC mills and lathes, HAAS or similar equipment.
• Ability to navigate CNC controls, offsets, alarms, and diagnostics.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, tolerances and spec checks.
• Experience selecting tooling, inserts, fixtures for production runs.
• Hands-on experience with precision inspection tools like micrometers and calipers.
• Understanding speeds, feeds, and material behavior in diverse conditions.
• Commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and quality systems.
• Digital fluency with AI-enabled diagnostics or data interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up CNC mills and lathes by loading programs, referencing coordinates, and tool offsets.
• Install and align work-holding devices to secure parts with precision.
• Load, measure, and adjust cutting tools for correct offsets and geometry.
• Interpret blueprints to ensure setups meet specs and dimensions.
• Inspect first articles and production parts with precision instruments for accuracy.
• Monitor operation and output, adjusting offsets to maintain tight tolerances.
• Collaborate with maintenance and supervision to resolve equipment concerns.
• Perform basic troubleshooting during setup and production runs.
• Coordinate with material handling to prepare stock and tooling.
• Maintain clean, safe workspaces and follow safety standards.
• Apply digital controls and data feedback to improve performance and identify improvements.
