Job summary

Moeller Precision Tool in Wixom, MI, is seeking experienced machinists to perform full CNC setups, read blueprints, and produce high-precision tooling components in a clean, climate-controlled shop equipped with Mazak, DMG Mori, Mitsubishi EDM, and Okamoto machinery.

Night shift: Mon-Fri, 5:30pm–4:00am, 45–50 hours/week with overtime. Starting pay $26.25–$32.25/hr (includes $2.25 shift premium) plus overtime potential and benefits. Training and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of machining experience operating and/or setting up CNC and manual machines.
• Experience performing CNC machine setups strongly preferred.
• Blueprint reading skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of quality measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, indicator, etc.).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and shop math skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience machining tool steel and/or Mazatrol or Fanuc controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform full CNC machine setups (tooling, offsets, fixturing).
• Machine tool steel components to tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints.
• Set speeds, feeds, and tolerances.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards.

Schedule

Night Shift

• Monday - Friday
• 5:30pm – 4:00am

Additional Schedule Information

• Typical: 45–50 hours/week
• Additional overtime opportunities available
• Up to 14 scheduled Saturdays per year
• Saturday Schedule: 12:00pm – 6:00pm

Pay & Benefits

• Starting at $26.25-$32.25/hr (includes $2.25/hr shift premium)
• Typical annual earnings of approximately $60,000-$90,000+, with additional earning potential for experienced machinists working overtime.

Physical Requirements
