Job summary

Moeller Precision Tool is seeking experienced machinists to join a stable, family-owned shop. Perform full CNC setups, read blueprints, and ensure high-tolerance tooling components in a climate-controlled environment.

Emphasis on problem solving, quality, and craftsmanship with room for career progression into engineering and leadership roles. The work includes daytime shifts, overtime opportunities, and a mix of prototype to production runs using Mazak, DMG Mori, Mitsubishi EDM, and Okamoto

Qualifications

• 2+ years of machining experience operating and/or setting up CNC and manual machines.
• Experience performing CNC machine setups strongly preferred.
• Blueprint reading skills.
• Knowledge of quality measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, indicator, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Perform full CNC machine setups (tooling, offsets, fixturing).
• Machine tool steel components to tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints.
• Set speeds, feeds, and tolerances; inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards.

Work in a clean, climate-controlled shop with modern Mazak, DMG Mori, Mitsubishi EDM, and Okamoto equipment while producing high-precision tooling components.

Schedule

Day Shift

• Monday - Friday
• 7:00am – 5:30pm

Additional Schedule Information

• Typical: 45–50 hours/week
• Additional overtime opportunities available
• Up to 14 scheduled Saturdays per year
• Saturday Schedule: 6:00am – 12:00pm

Pay & Benefits

• Starting at $24.00-$30.00/hr (based on experience)
• Typical annual earnings of approximately $60,000-$85,000+, with additional earning potential for experienced machinists working overtime.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of machining experience operating and/or setting up CNC and manual machines.
• Experience performing CNC machine setups strongly preferred
• Blueprint reading skills
• Knowledge and understanding of quality measurement tools (i.e. caliper, micrometer, indicator, etc.)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and shop math skills.
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience machining tool steel and/or working with Mazatrol or Fanuc controls is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Standing for 8–10 hour shifts
• Frequent movement (walking, bending, lifting)
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
