Moeller Precision Tool, LLC. seeks an experienced CNC Setup Machinist (Day Shift) to operate and set up CNC and manual machines on tool steel components.

The role emphasizes precision, blueprint interpretation, and problem solving in a climate-controlled shop with modern equipment. Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of machining experience with CNC and/or manual machines.
• Experience performing CNC setups is strongly preferred.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation skills required.
• Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other QC tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform full CNC machine setups (tooling, offsets, fixturing).
• Machine tool steel components to tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints and GD&T where applicable.
• Set speeds, feeds, and tolerances to spec and inspect finished parts for quality.

CNC Setup Machinist (Tool Steel) - Day Shift

$24-$30/hr + Overtime

Schedule

Day Shift

• Monday - Friday
• 7:00am – 5:30pm

Additional Schedule Information

• Typical: 45–50 hours/week
• Additional overtime opportunities available
• Up to 14 scheduled Saturdays per year
• Saturday Schedule: 6:00am – 12:00pm

Pay & Benefits

• Starting at $24.00-$30.00/hr (based on experience)
• Typical annual earnings of approximately $60,000-$85,000+, with additional earning potential for experienced machinists working overtime.

What You’ll Do

• Perform full CNC machine setups (tooling, offsets, fixturing)
• Machine tool steel components to tight tolerances
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints
• Set speeds, feeds, and tolerances
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards

What We're Looking For:

• 2+ years of machining experience operating and/or setting up CNC and manual machines.
• Experience performing CNC machine setups strongly preferred
• Blueprint reading skills
• Knowledge and understanding of quality measurement tools (i.e. caliper, micrometer, indicator, etc.)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and shop math skills.
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience machining tool steel and/or working with Mazatrol or Fanuc controls is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Standing for 8–10 hour shifts
• Frequent movement (walking, bending, lifting)
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
