Established Manufacturing Employer is seeking a CNC Set-Up Machinist for 2nd shift (2:30 PM–10:30 PM, M-F) and 3rd shift (10:30 PM–6:30 AM, Sun–Thu). Base rate $28.59/hour with shift differentials of $2 and $2.50 respectively.
You will set up, maintain, and troubleshoot CNC machines, read engineering drawings, and ensure precise part production. The role requires a machinist background, the ability to use calipers, micrometers, and indicators, and safe forklift operation.

Job Description
This position works closely with Engineering to produce tooling that is utilized within our manufacturing facility. The position is directly responsible for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting multiple CNC machines. This requires technical skills, attention to detail, problem solving abilities, and a solid understanding of mechanics and shop math.
Requirements
1. Associates degree in machining, or 5 years’ experience in a machining position.
2. Understands engineering drawings. Knows how to follow setup instructions and tool lists provided by engineering.
3. Carries out routine tooling setup and maintenance (drills, end mills, taps, reamers, etc.).
4. Owns basic machinist tools (caliper, micrometer, test indicator, etc.) and knows how to use them.
5. Removes and installs vises and other fixtures accurately and safely.
6. Maintains/services CNC machines (coolant upkeep, cleaning of machines, filter changes, etc.).
7. Operates the CNC machining centers in a safe a manner while keeping distractions to a minimum.
8. Performs basic troubleshooting of CNC machining programs.
9. Calibrates the measurement probe, tool setter, or other CNC setup equipment.
10. Adjusts tool and work offsets when required. Sets rotation on larger parts.
11. Prepares material when required req’d using provided equipment (band saw, surfaces grinder, etc.).
12. Machines precision parts accurately and in a timely manner.
13. Operates forklift and other lifting equipment safely.
