Job summary

Carolinas Staffing in Leland, NC is seeking a CNC Operator to run repeat proven parts with low to intermediate complexity. You will be supervised by the area Lead, Supervisor, or qualified Machinist and work second shift or weekend shift as posted.

Responsibilities include operating machines, inspecting parts, following shop procedures, and maintaining the equipment and work area. A background check and drug test are required, with physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Carolinas Staffing is looking for CNC Operators in Leland, NC!

Job Summary:

As a Machine Operator you will run repeat proven parts with low to intermediate complexity. You will receive direction and will be overseen by the area Lead, Supervisor, or qualified area Machinist.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for utilizing shop paper procedures including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting quantities, labeling and non-conformance related activities
• Ensure an accurate router accompanies all work orders
• Inspect and measure parts as needed, and complete in-process inspections. For any discrepancies notify supervision.
• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. Alert Lead or Supervisor to any issue(s) on job or machine.
• Clean and maintains machines, working area, tooling and parts in optimal production condition.

Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Visual acuity: near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts
• Hearing ability: ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action
• Frequently required to stand, walk, push, reach overhead, and bend to the floor
• Frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Safety:

• Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices
• Knowledge of Shop safety practices and use of PPE

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 Per Hour Depending on experience.

Hours/Shifts:

Second Shift: 4:00pm-2:30am Monday - Thursday

Weekend Shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 6am to 6pm. Will be paid for 40 hours.
