Job summary

Honeycomb Company of America, Inc. seeks a CNC Set-Up Machinist to load machines with correct material, set parameters and tools following approved HCOA processes and engineering diagrams.

You will ensure accurate machining through quality checks and measurements, work with CNC programmers to maximize output, and maintain part traceability and thorough documentation throughout the process.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience with setup and operating a CNC system as a machinist.
• Ability to read, comprehend and adhere to technical data (Part print, Mylars).
• Understand Speed and Feed, ability to adjust programs and make suggestions.
• Tooling knowledge and Bridgeport mill setup experience.
• Security Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the US. If required possess the ability to pass the Defense National Agency Check IAW DoDD 5200.2.

Responsibilities

• Create, communicate, and accomplish daily department schedules.
• Keep WOs and associated documentation with each part throughout the manufacturing process and provides documentation to their internal customer.
• Retain part traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
• Keep Cetec order location data current and correct.
• Full and complete understanding of all other pertinent HCOA Operation Procedures or Work Instructions.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Complete daily machine PM's.
• Work with CNC programmer to maximize machine output.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Job description

The CNC Set-Up Machinist will load machines with correct material, set parameters and tools utilizing approved HCOA processes and technical orders or engineering diagrams. Additionally, the CNC Set-Up Machinist is responsible for ensuring accurate machining of these processes via quality checks and measurements.

Responsibilities:

• Provide their internal customers with correct products and services, on-time.

• Keep WOs and associated documentation with each part throughout the manufacturing process and provides documentation to their internal customer.
• Retain part traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
• Keep Cetec order location data current and correct.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read, comprehend and adhere to technical data (Part print, Mylars)
• Understand Speed and Feed, ability to adjust programs and make suggestions
• Tooling knowledge
• Ability to setup and manufacturer parts on Bridgeport mill
• Computer knowledge for data entry into ERP systems
• Security Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the US. If required possess the ability to pass the Defense National Agency Check IAW DoDD 5200.2

Physical Demands / ADA Compliance

The employee may be required to stand for a full shift while wearing PPE. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Correctable vision to 20/20 with full depth perception. Ability to pass DOT Drug Testing requirements (49 CFR Part 40). Regularly required to push, pull, bend and apply pressure using hand tools and operate machinery.

$21-$25 an hour dependent upon experience

Background and Drug test required.
