Job summary

CoorsTek, Inc. is seeking a CNC Set-Up I to support diverse shifts in our advanced ceramics manufacturing facility. You will load preset programs, perform minor adjustments, and produce quality parts following work instructions and procedures.

The role requires basic CNC understanding, GD&T knowledge, and attention to detail. A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred, with about one year of relevant experience. Safety and teamwork are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions.
• Math skills including algebra and geometry; basic computer skills.
• Understanding of CNC program structure, G and M code concepts, and CAD/CAM outputs used in production.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Strong attention to detail and good listening skills.
• Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic CNC machine set-up by loading preset CNC programs and making minor, approved adjustments.
• Operate CNC equipment to produce product per work instructions and safety requirements.
• Conduct basic in-process inspection; record results and notify defects or deviations.
• Make basic machine adjustments (offsets, taper) and perform routine maintenance (coolants, filters, lubricants).
• Stack and transport product using hand-truck, pallet jack, forklift, crane, or hoist.
• Maintain clean work area, machines, tools and equipment.

CNC Set-Up I (Multiple Shifts Available)

Responsible for performing basic CNC Machine set-up and operation by loading preset CNC programs, making minor approved adjustments, and producing acceptable product in accordance with work instructions, quality requirements, and established manufacturing processes.

Roles & Reponsibilities

• Perform basic CNC machine set-up function by loading preset CNC programs and making minor, approved adjustments to support proper machine operation.
• Operate CNC manufacturing equipment to produce acceptable product according to work instructions, set-up documentation, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
• Perform basic in-process inspection using established methods; record results and notify appropriate personnel of defects, dimensional concerns, or process deviations.
• Perform basic machine adjustments such as off-sets or taper adjustments and basic preventative maintenance such as changing coolants, filters, lubricants, and other routine machine-care items.
• Stack and transport product via hand-truck, pallet jack, forklift, crane, or hoist.
• Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment.

Job Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required

Experience

• One (1) year relevant experience

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Target Hiring Range: 19.50 - 21.00
