Job summary

CoorsTek, Inc. in Arkansas is seeking a CNC Set-Up I to support multiple shifts. You will load preset CNC programs, perform minor adjustments, and produce quality parts in line with work instructions and manufacturing processes.

This role requires basic CNC knowledge, math skills, and the ability to read GD&T and SPC data while maintaining a safe, organized work area and collaborating with a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Must understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Intermediate math and computer skills for production tasks.
• Able to learn CNC program structure and G/M code concepts used in production.
• Familiar with GD&T and SPC techniques in quality control.
• Strong attention to detail and good listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Load preset CNC programs to basic set-up and operate equipment.
• Make minor, approved adjustments to support proper machine operation.
• Conduct basic in-process inspections and report defects or deviations.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and adjustments (off-sets, taper, coolant).
• Move and transport product using hand-truck, forklift, or hoist.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and equipment.

Job Title

CNC Set-Up I (Multiple Shifts Available)

Responsible for performing basic CNC Machine set-up and operation by loading preset CNC programs, making minor approved adjustments, and producing acceptable product in accordance with work instructions, quality requirements, and established manufacturing processes.

Roles & Reponsibilities:

• Perform basic CNC machine set-up function by loading preset CNC programs and making minor, approved adjustments to support proper machine operation.
• Operate CNC manufacturing equipment to produce acceptable product according to work instructions, set-up documentation, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
• Perform basic in-process inspection using established methods; record results and notify appropriate personnel of defects, dimensional concerns, or process deviations.
• Perform basic machine adjustments such as off-sets or taper adjustments and basic preventative maintenance such as changing coolants, filters, lubricants, and other routine machine‑care items.
• Stack and transport product via hand‑truck, pallet jack, forklift, crane, or hoist.
• Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required

Experience:

• One (1) year relevant experience

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions
• Intermediate math (algebra, geometry) and computer skills
• Ability to learn and understand basic CNC program structure, G and M code concepts, and CAD/CAM outputs used in established production processes
• Ability to understand and use Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening skills
• Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds

Target Hiring Range

: 19.50 - 21.00
