Job summary

CoorsTek is hiring a CNC Set-Up I to perform initial machine setup and operation across multiple shifts. You will load preset programs, make approved adjustments, and ensure products meet quality requirements under established processes.

You will inspect in-process results, adjust offsets as needed, and help maintain tool readiness and machine care. Collaboration and attention to detail are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year CNC experience.
• Ability to interpret instructions and read GD&T.
• Proficiency in basic math and CAD/CAM concepts.
• Attention to detail and cooperative teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic CNC machine set-up by loading preset CNC programs and minor adjustments.
• Operate CNC equipment to produce product per work instructions and quality requirements.
• Perform basic in-process inspection and report defects or deviations.
• Perform basic machine adjustments and routine maintenance (coolants, filters, lubricants).
• Stack and transport product using hand-truck, pallet jack, forklift, crane or hoist.
• Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment.

Job Title

CNC Set-Up I (Multiple Shifts Available)

Responsible for performing basic CNC Machine set-up and operation by loading preset CNC programs, making minor approved adjustments, and producing acceptable product in accordance with work instructions, quality requirements, and established manufacturing processes.

Roles & Reponsibilities:

• Perform basic CNC machine set-up function by loading preset CNC programs and making minor, approved adjustments to support proper machine operation.
• Operate CNC manufacturing equipment to produce acceptable product according to work instructions, set-up documentation, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
• Perform basic in-process inspection using established methods; record results and notify appropriate personnel of defects, dimensional concerns, or process deviations.
• Perform basic machine adjustments such as off-sets or taper adjustments and basic preventative maintenance such as changing coolants, filters, lubricants, and other routine machine-care items.
• Stack and transport product via hand-truck, pallet jack, forklift, crane, or hoist.
• Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment.

Job Requirements

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required

Experience:

One (1) year relevant experience

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions
• Intermediate math (algebra, geometry) and computer skills
• Ability to learn and understand basic CNC program structure, G and M code concepts, and CAD/CAM outputs used in established production processes
• Ability to understand and use Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening skills
• Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds

Target Hiring Range : 19.50 - 21.00
