Qualifications

• Attention to detail and teamwork are key to success in this role.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Three years of CNC set up experience is expected for candidates, with ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Proficiency in math and computer skills is required and CAD/CAM, G&M codes, GD&T, and SPC knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and make minor adjustments to preset CNC programs to ensure proper machine operation.
• Operate CNC manufacturing equipment to produce quality products according to work instructions.
• Inspect parts for defects during in-process inspection and record results.
• Perform basic machine adjustments such as offsets and setting tapers.
• Maintain work area cleanliness and perform routine preventative maintenance.

Our client is seeking a CNC Set Up to join their team. As a CNC Set Up, you will be part of the Manufacturing Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong teamwork skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: CNC Set Up

Location: Oak Ridge, TN

Pay Range: $20-24/hr

Shifts available:

6:00am - 2:00pm

2:00pm - 10:00pm

10:00pm - 6:00am

Weekend shift 6:00am - 6:00pm

What's the Job?

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
• Three (3) years of CNC set up experience
• Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions
• Intermediate math skills (algebra, geometry) and computer skills
• Ability to learn and utilize CAD/CAM programs, G and M codes, GD&T, and SPC
