Job summary

CenterPoint is seeking a CNC Operator to run CNC router operations, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet specifications at our Woodbury, MN facility. The role requires reading drawings, loading wood materials, and performing test runs to verify outputs.

You will maintain and adjust machines, collaborate with builders, and promote company values of service, excellence, and integrity. Expected schedule is weekdays with standard hours in an in-person setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Technical degree or completion of related apprenticeship beneficial but not required.
• At least two years of related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
• Familiar with wood and plastic sheet goods.
• Experience with applying and programming toolpaths to 2D parts, G-Code preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
• Detail oriented with accuracy and quality.
• Demonstrate clear and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate CNC router to perform tasks such as routing, drilling etc.
• Understand specifications by reading blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Translate instructions into computer commands for CNC operation.
• Prepare and load raw wood materials and parts onto the CNC.
• Conduct test runs to ensure outputs meet specifications.
• Set machines to complete full cycles for large numbers of parts.
• Monitor machines and make adjustments for quality results.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy and completion.
• Perform daily maintenance of CNC machinery.
• Collaborate with builders to deliver machined parts.
