Job summary

Aagard is seeking a CNC Machine Operator in Minnesota to set up and run CNC equipment, ensuring parts meet prints and delivery timelines. You will inspect quality, adjust tooling, and document usage in the ERP system.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to optimize equipment utilization and reduce cycle times while maintaining high standards of precision.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent; 1 year machine operator experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Ability to view CAD drawings and use Aagard software.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and barcode scanning tools preferred.
• Ability to walk or stand up to 100 percent of the time; lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts meeting specifications and timelines.
• Monitor machining operations and adjust to maintain throughput.
• Record part movement, run time, and material usage in ERP.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to increase utilization and reduce cycle times.
• Verify part quality by inspecting machined components against prints and specs.
• Change tooling, fixtures, and setups to maintain precision.
• Troubleshoot machining issues to prevent defects and minimize downtime.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance quality and reduce rework.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and report issues to keep equipment in optimal condition.
• Follow safety policies and keep a clean, safe work area.
