Job summary

Hera Technologies, LLC is seeking a highly motivated CNC Router Machinist/Operator to join our hands-on team at Cape Canaveral, FL. You will set up and run CNC routers, read blueprints, and ensure quality and safety standards while keeping precise records.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of related experience, strong English communication, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a manufacturing environment with attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
  • Understand and apply shop math and measurement techniques.
  • Communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
  • Identify and select appropriate cutting tools for each job.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC routers to produce machined parts.
  • Interpret CNC programs, tooling lists, and routing instructions.
  • Load tools, fixtures, and material; verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Ensure proper cooling, feeds, and speeds for each material.
  • Inspect first-piece and subsequent pieces for conformance to specs.
  • Maintain clean, safe work area and follow health and safety guidelines.

Role Overview

Hera Technologies, LLC (the “Company”) is seeking a highly motivated CNC Router Machinist/Operator to join its team working in a hands-on, collaborative environment. The candidate must be familiar with a manufacturing environment, have working computer knowledge and be a self-starter who pays attention to detail and accuracy and take responsibility for his/her work. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing machined parts by setting up and operating CNC routers, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping accurate records, maintaining equipment and other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate machines to produce parts by using work orders, blueprints, material lists, and specifications.
  • Interprets job instructions such as CNC programs, tool list, job routing, part drawings and in-process quality instructions.
  • Locates the appropriate tool holders, tools, and fixtures and loads them into the machine.
  • Staging and prepping of material for cutting.
  • Determines proper tooling and feed rates per material/Job.
  • Ensures that the work piece and tools are properly cooled.
  • Runs the program, takes measurements, and makes any adjustments necessary to produce quality parts.
  • Modifies programs in response to problems.
  • Cleans/deburrs parts before transfer to next department.
  • Inspects first run piece and checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications.
  • Keeping work area clean and organized.
  • Support 5-S and adhere to health, safety, and environmental company guidelines.
  • Perform cross-functional operations.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in related area.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
  • Knowledge of a variety of cutting tools.
  • Ability to work with shop math.
  • Ability to use standard measuring tools (i.e. micrometers, calipers).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English.
  • Ability and willingness to learn to perform cross-functional operations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with machining of metallics, composites, and plastics.
  • Experience with Multicam CNC Routers.
  • Experience with EnRoute CAD/CAM Software.
Additional Requirements
  • Must have professional working proficiency reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Ability to work in office, lab, and manufacturing environments with occasional exposure to noise, chemicals, dust, industrial equipment, and temperature variations
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer workstation
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for data entry, keyboarding, and mouse use
  • Ability to view computer screens for prolonged periods
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via email
  • Ability to use a computer to complete assignments

Job Details
  • Type: Full-time
  • Base Salary Range: $21 to $30 USD per hour
  • Business Hours: 9/80 schedule, 6am-4 pm
  • Base Location: 100% onsite at 350 Imperial Blvd. Cape Canaveral, FL 32920 USA
  • Travel: None

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
