Job summary
WALCO Tool & Engineering in Romeoville, IL is seeking an experienced CNC Repair and Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machining centers and related equipment in a climate-controlled facility.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with CNC repair, PLC troubleshooting, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, reads schematics, and shows strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of CNC repair and maintenance experience.
- Experience troubleshooting CNC machining centers.
- Strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with PLC systems and CNC controls.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and machine documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds safely.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair CNC machining centers and production equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on CNC machines and manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures.
- Repair machine components to minimize production downtime.
- Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Troubleshoot PLC and CNC control systems.
- Perform machine adjustments and alignments.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to increase machine reliability.
- Assist with facility maintenance projects as needed.
- Work safely while maintaining a clean work environment.
