Job summary

K&S Manufacturing in Ixonia, Wisconsin, is seeking a Punch Press Setup Operator to lead setup, operation, and troubleshooting of punch press equipment. The role requires hands-on production involvement and frequent collaboration with engineering and maintenance to ensure quality parts and efficient processes.

The successful candidate will mentor junior operators, review programs and blueprints, and drive improvements in setup times and machine utilization while maintaining safe work practices

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience setting up and operating punch presses.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience with CNC punch press tooling and dies.
• Proficient in precision measurement with calipers and micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and conventional punch press equipment.
• Review setup sheets, programs, and blueprints before production.
• Train and mentor operators on setup, safety, and quality.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections.
• Identify opportunities to improve setup times and efficiency.
• Maintain documentation and ensure safety compliance.
